So, something I tell most of the people I meet with, when you are interviewing vendors for your wedding, try to match personality.  If they are working in the wedding industry, the quality of their work should be good, so find vendors that you like and feel like you get along with.  This is extremely important with the photographer,videographer, and DJ because the work they do will be affected and show their personality to some degree.  If your photgrapher has a very serious and straight-laced personality your pictures will look much more formal than a photographers’ pictures that has a quarky personality.  Not that you have to be best friends with yoru vendors, but they should be someone you would get along with and like if you met them outside of the wedding situation.

The wedding season is coming up and while that does means something different for people who work in the wedding industry, I do think there are some general tips that we all can live by to make it through safely.  

1. Please do not regift within the same circle of friends…you will get caught.
2. If there is an open bar, pace yourself.  You do NOT want to be known as the “did you see what he/she did, well I’ll send you the youtube link” person.
3. Don’t wear white, well unless you really dislike the bride to be.
4. Men, leave your murses and mandals at home, were they belong.
5. If there happens to be a chicken dance or macarena, join in…it is not for you and I know you secretly like doing it anyway.
